AMaTUC Kick-off meeting

The coordinator TUCN organised the AMaTUC kick-off meeting in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) the 11-12 January 2016 and all the consortium partners participated to the official launch of the AMaTUC project. The kick-off meeting went extremely well and all the partners expressed their excitement to work together during the next three years. The forthcoming activities have been prepared and the twinning partners will start sending research staff from and to Romania. The dates for the 1st AMaTUC summer school have been fixed and the 1st workshop will be organised in June 2016.

In addition of the discussions regarding the project activities and management, TUCN organised a site visit to several manufacturing workshops and laboratories and therefore demonstrated the excellence of their research and their production capabilities with state of the art equipment. It allows the consortium partners to better understand TUCN´s needs in term of research and innovation and as a result defining a tailored twinning programme.

For the occasion, the coordinator Nicolae Balc, invi
ted several national and local press media to ensure a proper communication to the general public. Five Romanian TV and newspapers participated to our press conference and in the following days we noticed a snowball effect and a wide dissemination of the AMaTUC project in more than fifteen press media.

The AMaTUC project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme  under grant agreement No 691787
